As much as Hollywoods interpretations of my childhood heroes bothers me, lately things have been getting slightly better. Take the Avengers for example - it was actually pretty good! Perhaps my brain has just been muddled by the incredible special effects and the hours of wearing 3d glasses, but I left that theatre feeling like my ten year old self.
